The Heart Behind

Sarah Marie Studio

My journey into professional photography began right here in Northeast Ohio. As a native of Hubbard, I’ve always been inspired by the beauty of our local landscapes—from the familiar streets of my hometown to the iconic bridges of Pittsburgh.

What started as a passion for capturing the people and places I love has grown into Sarah Marie Studio. I’ve spent years perfecting my craft in the varied light of the Ohio Valley, ensuring that whether we are shooting a senior portrait session at Mill Creek Park or a grand wedding in the city, your photos will look exactly like the day felt. Today, I’m honored to be a storyteller for couples across Youngstown and beyond who value an authentic, true-to-color, and timeless aesthetic.

When I’m not being your biggest cheerleader behind the lens, I’m living a life I feel incredibly thankful for. My husband, Forest, and I have been married since 2014, and we live on the cutest little piece of property surrounded by cornfields and open pastures. Our days are beautifully chaotic- our daughter, Willow (born in 2018), and our son, Colton, who joined the family in 2022.

On my days off, you can usually find me playing in the sandbox with my kiddos, working in my garden, or heading out for an adventure in our vintage 1970’s camper.

I’m a proud graduate of Youngstown State University, and my love for learning didn't stop at graduation. To better serve my clients, I’m constantly growing my skills through professional seminars and national photography competitions. Photography has always been my greatest passion, and being able to share that with my clients as they grow from engaged couples to growing families is the greatest feeling in the world.
