I have to start this story back in 2006 when I attended a mission trip in Virginia Beach, VA and met Sara. We became instant friends and spent the entire week together and through the magic of the internet we’ve kept in touch all of these years. In October of 2021 she messaged me asking if I would be willing to travel to Wisconsin to photograph her wedding...OF COURSE! So, October of 2022 rolls around, we traveled across four states & 9 hours to spend the weekend with this amazing couple.
Kenny & Sara were married on a beautiful property right on the shores of Lake Michigan - Lake Orchard Farm Retreat. We had the perfect weather for an outdoor wedding and the falls colors popped as there backdrop for pictures. We ventured around the property, there were so many beautiful locations to choose from, before heading to the reception. Being from NE Ohio I didn't think the climate would be too different from home...well, that was wrong! So while most in attendance at the reception where in dresses & short sleeves. I was in pants, a sweater, coat and gloves.
Before heading into there reception most of the bridal party and guests made a quick change. Kenny & Sara hosted not only an amazing reception, but a Halloween party as well! The laughter and fun that we had been having all day continued onto the dance floor where the couple, friends and family danced the entire night.
Thank you so much Kenny and Sara. It was so great getting to see you again, spending the day with you and to take part in your wedding. We can't wait to take that trip back up and see you guys again!
